A few weeks ago Puma unveiled its latest lifestyle sneakers dubbed the ‘Tsugi Shinsei’ and ‘Tsugi Blaze’. Tsugi meaning “next”, and Shinsei “reborn”, is a real testament to today’s sneaker culture and a step into the future. While the Tsugi Shinsei debuts an intricate lacing system reminiscent of Nike’s Footscapes, the Blaze gets a nice revamp with quality leather and suede. To top it all off, both models sit atop Puma’s signature ‘Ignite’ midsole compound for extreme comfort. Read more about it in the link above.

Recap: Launch Night

Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of helping Puma celebrate the launch of their new Tsugi line. Gathered alongside a dozen of Australia’s more notable sneaker photographers, we wined and dined in true Japanese form in Crown’s ‘Koko’ restaurant.

Sticking to the theme, Puma treated each sneakerhead to Black and White pairs of each pair in a custom built wooden box complete with dust bags and some SneakersER. While the chefs amazed us and the beers flowed, a great atmosphere filled the room conversing with like-minded individuals.

Since release, the lifestyle sneakers have received a tremendous appeal, and you can expect more releases soon. I for one can not wait for the collaborations. Both Tsugi Shinsei and Blaze are now available on PUMA AU and word is the Tsugi Netfit will be soon to follow.

An enormous gratitude and appreciation to our dear friend, James a.k.a Mr Formstripe for organising a successful dinner. An even bigger thank you for having me a part of it all. I’m sure I can say on behalf of all Puma fans when I say we look forward to the future of the line. In the meantime, enjoy some shots of the night and some on foot shoots from some of the heads who attended.
