Of all the Air Jordan models, the 3s are definitely up there as one of the aesthetically-pleasing pairs in the brand’s shoe lineage. This wingless silhouette appeared in the Lakers’ colour scheme earlier in the year, causing a stir amongst Air Jordan sneakerheads. But so far it’s looking like a unicorn to get. That’s the bad news. The good news is, a sneaker customiser by the name Jack the Ripper has reinterpreted the colourway and is making it available to the general public. Booyah!

The sought-after ‘Kobe PE’ is recreated with the finest of materials, from the white python upper, the genuine elephant toe tip and heel counter, to the gold liner and hardware. In addition to all the lux elements, a purple insole is included with Kobe Bryant’s career start and end year printed in gold, honouring the Mamba’s 20 years in the NBA. This reimagined ‘Kobe PE’ is like the “Pinnacle” of Air Jordan 3s.

Tipped to release on his online shop mid-October, this reimagined pair of Air Jordan 3s will make a nice addition to a Jordan sneakerhead’s collection. Unfortunately, Australians will have to get these bad boys certified before importing into the country due to the elephant skin.
