Last year in August, Kobe Bryant was seen sporting the then new Nike Flyknit Air Force 1 in China during his tour there. Multiple variants of the Flyknit Air Force 1 continued to release soon after. It was obvious then, it wasn’t going to be long before the Air Max receives the Flyknit treatment.

Nike reconstructs the Air Max 1 Ultra with their flagship Flyknit weaving, while maintaining the OG aesthetics of the adored ‘Sport Red’ colourway. This lightweight rendition features the ‘Sport Red’ colour from heel to toe on top of a white and grey upper. The result is an impressive new model to the range.

Two more colourways will also be available. However, release date is unknown. Word is the Air Max 90 will also receive the flyknit makeover — again keeping to the OG infrared colourway.

Stay tuned for more updates!
