Nothing shouts classic as good as a pair of grey, made in U.S.A. New Balance trainers. And what better way to bring in another round of grey goodness in the form of a 997. I mean 998. Wait, what?!

Yes, the hybrid New Balance 997.5 returns, a cross between the 997 upper and the 998s Abzorb midsole cushioning. Boasting a bolder logo and a slimmed down silhouette that at first glance seems to have been slimmed down from its previous releases. To date there hasn’t been that many colourways seen on the 997.5. In this writer’s opinion however, each and every one of them has been consistently on point, which is a rarity in crossbreed sneakers.

Adding to its already likeable nature is a grey combination upper made of suede and mesh with white accents throughout and is also the very first of the 997.5 to bear the official stamp – ‘Made in U.S.A’. A quality pair indeed. That alone should be enough for you to realise, you best not sleep on these.
