"From a quality perspective – it’s even more unreal."

As part of the 25th anniversary celebrations over at ASICS, London’s Foot Patrol have collaborated with the runner conglomerate to bring you the “Squad” Gel-Lyte III. Being the eighth collab of the year and in accordance with Foot Patrol’s iconic military color-scheme, we can see direct inspiration drawn from the traditional gas mask logo and ‘FP’ stamping in gold. Limited to just 1,990 pairs worldwide, we were lucky enough to cop a pair after the Brisbane drop just to show you guys what all the hype is about.
First things first – this shoe is the best release from the 25th anniversary line-up. There’s just something special about the history between Foot Patrol and ASICS. From the previous Saga & Kayano releases to this Gel-Lyte III, the distinctive relationship between both brands has been real. They have also been the holy-grail for some sneaker heads all around the world. This particular installment sees an olive suede upper and varied worn out hues throughout the panels sitting atop a fresh white mid-sole. Gold is used throughout the shoe to accentuate the blocking. The “Squad” comes with two insoles, and three sets of laces – as per the Foot Patrol standard. We can’t explain how much we like this shoe – from a comfort perspective, it’s unreal. From a quality perspective – it’s even more unreal. The simplicity of the color way means you can rock it with shorts, jeans and with nearly any neutral color. The ASICS x Foot Patrol “Squad” retailed for $220.00 AUD – go out and find a pair now. You won’t regret it.
