Need For Speed (NFS) is one of the most successful video racing game series to date. Having sold more than 150 million copies and refocused the game to car customisation like NFS Underground 1 and 2, you would have surely considered getting the latest addition to the series; I know I did with no regrets. One thing I wanted to highlight was the featured car on the cover of the latest instalment of NFS, a RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF (RWB) Porsche. Has classic Porsches become that popular to the point where it’s now on the cover of a game with a long-standing reputation?

To simply answer the question, yes they have. If you haven’t yet realized, both demand and value on air-cooled classic Porches has sky-rocketed to an insane high. One of main contributing factors to this wasn’t just because of the collectors who treasured the originality of the car but the people who customise these cars, such as RWB.

During the release of the new NFS title in November 2015, they reached out to their fans asking what a community car should be if NFS builds one in real life. The fans responded with the classic air cooled Porsche which was announced at Gamescom 2015. NFS collaborated closely with RWB, Fifteen52, and Bisimoto to create the perfect car the fans collectively had input on, which unveiled at SEMA.
