In case you haven’t heard, one of the all-time popular racing simulator games on PlayStation, Gran Turismo (GT) is hitting fans with their special announcement of their next installment, titled GT Sport.

What’s so special about GT Sport compared to its usual series?  Motorsport-focused racing!  Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) is collaborating with the franchise to deliver two online championships managed by FIA themselves.  The two championships will allow players to represent their home country or their favourite car manufacturer with awards held at the FIA ceremony much like the other real-life motorsports.

The obvious question most people will have now is whether GT Sport will be Gran Turismo 7’s prologue, and the answer is no.  But what we will learn from it is the potential driving experience, graphics and sound from this installment that may well appear in GT7.

We should expecting an open beta version of GT Sport on PS4 in early 2016 and no doubt this game should release within the same year.  Something to look forward to if you’re like me who’s been a loyal die-hard fan of Gran Turismo.  For now entice on the trailer!
