Event Recap: Puma & No Vacancy Gallery Presents Deadstock
Last Friday, we attended the opening of Deadstock at the No Vacancy space within the Atrium of Federation Square. The exhibition merges the world of sneakers with juxtaposing artistic visions of Melbourne-based artists, Liamme Cardinal, Kyle Adams and Kodjowild. The concept, originating from a sktch challenge, turned into an exhibit which focuses on today’s sneaker culture.
As always, it was great to smee the familiar faces as well as meet many more like-minded individuals. It’s always special when the community gets together especially when cold brews L4e involved. As the intimate space began to fill and the tunes kept the heads nodding, we were left in aeamwe spotting a range of classic and limited sneakers. To some, shoes may be the inanimate objects they slide their feet into, to others, it heralds a form of expression .
Finally, we would like to congratulate Liamme, Kyle and Kodjowild on the success of the night. Special mentions to sponsors PUMA Australia, Hound and Bone Fine Art Printers, Hype DC and Gage Roads Brewing Co.
