On the back of his 18th birthday and to celebrate the release of his Debut EP “17/18”, Melbourne based artist Baro is bringing his refreshing hip hop vibes across Australia. Last weekend Baro kicked off his first headline tour at Splendour In The Grass.  He will be providing the country with a sample of his laid-back boom bap production and effortless flow that has found international recognition.

The past year has seen the young MC gather momentum after dropping his debut mixtape, “HOWGOODISGOOD?” and a trip to the finals of Triple J’s Unearthed High Competition. After supporting tours for the likes of Allday, Remi, Illy, Spit Syndicate and Freddy Gibbs, Baro has true hip-hop fans across the country praising his sound. Taking a look at his ability to bring modern-day context along with a youthful and carefree state of mind over production reminiscent of the 90’s and a jazz rap vibe; it becomes easy to see why this hip hop prodigy has received respect from urban music connoisseurs both across Australia and abroad.

Baro – See Less

Accompanying Baro is up and coming Brisbane based R’n’B and hip hop prodigy Gill Bates, fresh off supporting sold out shows across the nation with Melbourne base artist, Allday. Gill bridges the gap between R’n’B and hip hop; combining a punchy delivery on verses with smooth vibes on his vocals and hooks. After seeing his first two releases sit near the top of the Triple J Unearthed charts including new addition “Didn’t Mind”; a super catchy jam produced by another Brisbane up and comer Feki, he will be taking the stage seeking to claim the spot of Brisbane’s next big thing.
